TheVGZ EVO screwis approved for structural applications subject to stresses in any direction vs. the grain (α = 0° - 90°). It is the ideal connector for the construction of outdoor structures. The deep thread and highly-resistant steel (fy,k = 1000 N/mm2) guarantee excellent tensile performance.
The values are also tested, certified and calculated forCLTandhigh density woodssuch as Microllam®LVL. The minimum distances between one connector and the next are reduced. In carbon steel, theVGZ EVO wood screw features 20 μm multilayer C4 EVO coating with a surface treatment of epoxy resin and aluminium flakes, which showed no rust after 1440 hours of salt spray exposure testing according to ISO 9227.
