TBS Flange Head Screw

TBS is distinguished from the common wood screw thanks to the flange head, which performs the function of a washer and ensures high tensile strength.

The TBS screw is approved for structural applications subject to stresses in any direction vs. the grain (α = 0° - 90°).

The TBS flange head screw is ideal for fastening joists to sill beams to achieve high wind uplift resistance.

The flange head guarantees excellent tensile strength which means the use of additional lateral fastening systems can be avoided. The asymmetric “umbrella” of TBS wood screws guarantees better wood pull-through.

Thanks to its geometry, TBS is the ideal in the presence of wind or variations in timber dimensions. It features superior strength, thanks to the steel’s excellent failure and yield strength (fy,k = 1000 N/mm2).

Very high torsional strength (ftor,k) guarantees safer screwing. The bending angle is 20° greater than standard, certified according to ETA 11/0030.

Made of carbon steel with bright zinc plated, it is perfect for use with solid timber, glulam, wood-based panels, high-density woods, CLT and LVL.

Service classes 1 and 2. Seismic performance tested according to EN 14592. Cyclical SEISMIC-REV tests according to EN 12512. Values also tested, certified and calculated for CLT and high density woods such as Microllam® LVL.
